Eulogy

It is the year 2003. We do not have flatrate Internet access, we do not have meaningful broadband access, we do not have single telephone billing, and we do not have portable mobile phone numbers. We are the most heavily fleeced mobile phone customers in Europe. We have reason to fear that ComReg will again accept a new outrageously high "cost-based" dsl wholesale pricing from Eircom. (We need a 30-euro/month-consumer adsl product – consumer end price inclusive of VAT – to have any hope to make up for lost ground. Eircom’s proposed new 28 euro wholesale offer, if sanctioned by ComReg would give Ireland again the highest dsl wholesale price in Europe. Wholesale price in Sweden is 12 Euros.)
