More Information on Norway
High speed and broadband prices in Norway:

The prices quoted below are for monthly subscription and installation (Inst.), and include 24% VAT for residental customers. Customer equipment required by all providers is a network card, other equipment is included (splitter, modem etc). All providers are offering xDSL using the incumbent operator Telenor's wholesale bitstream access offer.

xDSL is widely available (52% of households). Other options (such as cable internet, wireless and satellite) make high speed and broadband internet available to many of those who can't avail of xDSL. Narrowband, PSTN and ISDN, are available to almost all (Telenor policy is that when an ISDN line test fails, they fix what's needed until it doesn't fail).

http://www.itavisen.no/art/1299418.html gives you a list of Norways broadband offerings in ADSL, SDSL and cable (7.4 Nkr equal 1 euro)

Telenor is the "Main" provider for "all" over the country, more or less all places with 10000 people and up can get DSL/Cable and also some smaller places
(local cable tv or wireless/DSL).

Also worth mentioning is that Norway equals Ireland in population, but are much more spread out (bigger area) and they can still provide ADSL/Cable from north to south, east to west..

Some "ESB equals" are starting to provide 10240/10240 for around 340 Nkr...
